Fly-fishing the Smoky Mountains. Guides plentiful in Gatlinburg to take you to the wild places. Gear available to purchase. Be ready to search in unbelievable beauty for brook trout and rainbow trout.

 

Arts and Crafts hunting. Lots of craftsmen have left the towns and started their own village outside Gatlinburg, the Arts and Crafts community. Over 50 shops with artists who live and work in the area, with a few pubs and tearooms scattered in.

Ober Gatlinburg, skiing in season and ice skating year round, overhead tram to the resort.

 

Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, be a passenger and imagine your fate on the journey.

Biltmore Estate in Asheville, just come to Breakfast at Creekwalk Inn (call for reservations at 800-962-2246) and go on to Asheville to the largest home in America open to the public, gardens, winery, fine dining.

 

Hot Springs, NC, just 45 minutes from Creekwalk Inn in Cosby, fun to soak in a tub filled with fresh spring water heated by the earth, medicinal in value they claim, but smells fine! Then plan a massage for two after you are completely relaxed from the tub, kick around the little town of Hot Springs, not much to do except relax, soak, maybe find a cup of coffee or a pub.

 

Day trip shopping to Tanger Outlet Mall in Sevierville, or Bass Pro Shop, or Smoky Mountain Knife works…great stuff to take home.

 

Carver’s Orchard Restaurant and Farm store, in Cosby, apples, good southern cooking and apple cider to take to your cabin. Famous for their fried apple pies, 100 apple varieties.
